Over the past several months, members of the Rye Fire Department have been training on firefighter rehab procedures and equipment. The Department has recently purchased rehab misting fans and is utilizing previously purchased tents and chairs. Along with plenty of water, Gatorade, cold towels and energy bars, firefighters will be able to properly rehabilitate themselves before going back to their firefighting duties. Rehab equipment will be stored in Utility 39 and will respond to all rehab requests within the city and to surrounding districts.
